About this Recipe

This golden treat combines fluffy popped corn with a rich, buttery caramel that melts in your mouth. Easy to make and utterly addictive, this recipe will elevate your snacking game to new heights, leaving everyone craving more!
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup Popcorn Kernels (or about 12 cups popped popcorn)
- 1 cup Unsalted Butter
- 2 cups Packed Brown Sugar
- 1/2 cup Corn Syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1/4 teaspoon Baking Soda
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 250ºF (120ºC) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2
Using an air popper or stovetop method, pop the popcorn kernels. Place the popped popcorn in a large mixing bowl, making sure to remove any unpopped kernels.
Step 3
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Once melted, stir in the brown sugar, corn syrup, and salt. Bring the mixture to a boil while stirring constantly. Let it boil without stirring for about 4-5 minutes, or until it reaches a deep amber color.
Step 4
Remove the saucepan from heat and carefully stir in the vanilla extract and baking soda. The mixture will bubble up, so be cautious!
Step 5
Pour the warm caramel sauce over the popped popcorn. Gently stir to coat all the popcorn evenly, being careful not to crush the popcorn.
Step 6
Spread the caramel-coated popcorn onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for about 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes to ensure even coating.
Step 7
Remove the popcorn from the oven and let it cool completely on the baking sheet. Once cool, break apart any clumps and enjoy your delicious homemade caramel popcorn.
