About this Recipe

Celebrate Halloween with a refreshing twist on the classic mojito with our Spooky Scary Skeleton Mojito cocktail!

Combining zesty orange, minty freshness, and a splash of rum, this spookifying cocktail creates a vibrant, eye-catching drink perfect for your haunted gatherings.

Garnish with creepy skeletal ice cubes to enchant your guests and elevate your spooky festivities!

INGREDIENTS:

COCKTAIL
  • 1 cup Fresh Orange Juice (about 2-3 oranges)
  • 10-12 Fresh Mint Leaves
  • 2 Tablespoons Sugar (or to taste)
  • 1 Lime, cut into wedges
  • 1 cup White Rum (omit if making a non-alcoholic version)
  • Club Soda or Sparkling Water
  • Ice Cubes
  • Orange Slices and Mint Sprigs, for garnish

Step 1

In a sturdy glass or cocktail shaker, combine the fresh mint leaves, sugar, and lime wedges.  Gently muddle them together to release the mint’s essential oils and the lime’s juice. Be careful not to tear the mint leaves too much.

Step 2

Pour in the fresh orange juice and stir well until the sugar is dissolved.  If you’re using rum, add it at this stage and mix throughly.

Step 3

Fill glasses halfway with ice cubes. Pour the orange mixture over the ice, filling each glass about two-thirds full.

Step 4

Carefully top off each glass with club soda or sparkling water for a fizzy finish. Stir gently to combine.

TIPS

For a non-alcoholic version, simply omit the rum and increase the amount of club soda.  Consider adding a few skeletons or spooky ice cubes with plastic spiders for an extra festive touch!
