About this Recipe
A mouthwatering twist on a classic, these Smoky Bourbon Pulled Pork Sandwiches are made with tender pulled pork smothered in a smoky bourbon BBQ sauce, topped with tangy coleslaw, all sandwiched between a toasted brioche bun.
INGREDIENTS:
- 3-4 pounds Fresh Boneless Pork Butt Roast
- 1 cup BBQ Sauce
- 1 cup Bourbon
- 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
- 2 Tablespoons Smoked Paprika
- 1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder
- 1 Tablespoon Onion Powder
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 6 Brioche Buns
- Coleslaw, for topping (optional)
Step 1
In a slower cooker, combine the bourbon, BBQ sauce, brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and black pepper. Mix well.
Step 2
Add the pork shoulder to the slow cooker, making sure it is coated with the sauce mixture.
Step 3
Cook on low for 8-10 hours, or until the pork is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
Step 4
Once the pork is cooked, remove it from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks.
Step 5
Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and mix it with the sauce.
Step 6
Serve the pulled pork on hamburger buns, topped with coleslaw, if desired. Enjoy!
