These healthy chocolate banana smoothie cups are a perfect way to kick-start your day! Blended with ripe bananas, creamy almond milk, and rich cocoa powder, it offers a luscious chocolaty flavor while packed with nutrients.
Topped with crunchy homemade granola and fresh strawberries, this smoothie not only satisfies your sweet tooth but also fuels your body with wholesome ingredients.
INGREDIENTS:
FOR CHOCOLATE BANANA CUPS
- 2 ripe Large Bananas
- 1 cup Almond Milk (or nut milk of your choice)
- 2 Tablespoons Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- 1 Tablespoon Honey or Maple Syrup
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- A pinch of Salt
- 1 cup Fresh Strawberries, quartered
- 1 cup Granola (homemade preferred – see recipe)
- Fresh Mint Leaves, for garnish, if desired
FOR HOMEMADE GRANOLA:
- 2 cups Oats
- 1/2 cup Nuts (Almonds, Walnuts) chopped
- 1/4 cup Honey or Maple Syrup
- 1/4 cup Coconut Oil, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
- A pinch of Salt
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350ºF (175ºC) for the granola.
Step 2
In a mixing bowl, mix oats, nuts, honey, melted coconut oil, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
Step 3
Spread the mixture evenly on a baking sheet and bake for about 15-20 minutes, stirring halfway through, until golden brown. Let it cool.
Step 4
In a blender, combine bananas, almond milk, cocoa powder, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt. Blend until smooth.
Step 5
Pour the smoothie into two glasses and top each with a generous scoop of homemade granola and a few quartered strawberries.
