About this Recipe
Indulge in a rich, flavorful Japanese tradition meal with this Savory Ramen Soup, featuring tender pork, silky tofu, and a perfectly soft-boiled egg with a luscious yolk.
This hearty bowl, simmered in a savory meat bone broth, is a warming meal that combines comfort and umami in every slurp.
Ideal for any ramen lover, this recipe captures the essence of authentic Japanese cuisine.
INGREDIENTS:
- 4 cup Pork Bone Broth
- 1 cup Firm Tofu, cubed
- 8oz. Braised Pork Belly, sliced
- 4 Soft-Boiled Eggs (with runny yolks)
- 2 packs Fresh Ramen Noodles
- 2 Green Onions, chopped
- 2 Tablespoons Low Sodium Soy Sauce
- 1 Tablespoon Miso Paste
- 1 Tablespoon Sesame Oil
- 1 teaspoon Garlic, minced
- Sea Salt, to taste
- 1 medium Jalapeño, diced (optional to add spice)
Step 1
In a large pot, heat the bone broth over medium heat. Add soy sauce and miso paste, stirring until combined. Let it simmer gently.
Step 2
In a skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add the sliced pork and cook until browned and cooked through, about 3-5 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
Step 3
In the same skillet, lightly sauté the cubed tofu until golden on all sides, about 5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
Step 4
In a separate pot, bring water to a boil. Cook the ramen noodles according to package instructions (usually 3-4 minutes for fresh noodles, 5-6 minutes for dried). Drain and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process.
Step 5
Divide the cooked ramen noodles between four bowls. Ladle the hot broth over the noodles. Top each bowl with the sauteéd pork, sauteéd tofu, and a soft-boiled egg (cut in half to reveal the runny yolk).
Step 6
Sprinkle chopped green onions over the top, add nori sheets, and any additional garnishes like sprouts or bok choy. Add a few slices of Jalapeño, if desired for an extra kick.
