About this Recipe
Perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, these mouthwatering Flaky Fresh Salmon Patties are made from fresh salmon fillets, flaked and mixed with aromatic herbs and spices.
Ideal for a light lunch, quick dinner or crowd-pleasing appetizer. Serve with a zesty lemon aioli or a crisp side salad for a mela that’s not just healthy, but also bursting with flavor.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 pound Fresh Salmon Fillets, skin removed
- 1 cup Panko Breadcrumbs (use Panko for extra crunch)
- 1/4 cup Yellow Onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup Bell Pepper (any color), finely chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley, chopped (or 2 Tablespoons Dried Parsley)
- 1 Large Egg
- 1 Tablespoon Dijon Mustard
- 1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
- Salt and Pepper, to taste
- Olive Oil or Cooking Spray, for frying
Step 1
In a large bowl, use a fork to flake the fresh salmon fillets into small pieces. Make sure there are no bones left.
Step 2
Add the breadcrumbs, chopped onion, bell pepper, garlic, parsley, egg, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, salt, and pepper to the bowl with the salmon. Mix everything together until well combined.
Step 3
With your hands, shape the mixture into patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter and 1/2 inch thick. You should get about 6-8 patties, depending on the size.
Step 4
For better texture, place the patties in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes. This helps them hold together when cooking.
Step 5
Heat a generous amount of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Step 6
Once hot, add the salmon patties to the skillet, being careful not to overcrowd the pan.
Step 7
Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
Step 8
Once cooked, remove the patties from the skillet and place them on a paper towel to absorb any excess oil. Serve warm with a side of tartar sauce, lemon wedges, or a fresh salad. Enjoy!
